We hold 2 Business meetings each year – one in March & the other in October. We will have Dahlias 101 again this year, but not necessarily at 11 am. Care & Culture will be discussed at each meeting.

J & S Cafeteria, across from Asheville Airport. 11 am til 3 pm
Business Meeting 11 am, Lunch 12 noon.

Haywood County Fair is held usually during late August. We encourage members to participate if they can.
August 25
Great Smoky Mountains Trial Garden, Cashiers 10 promptly til approx. 3
PROGRAM: JUDGES & CLERKS training.
Judge Trial Garden entries.
Mini-Show – bring no more than 6 blooms – 3 for single entries, 1 triple per exhibitor.

Portland, Oregon - American Dahlia Society National Show
SEPTEMBER
North Carolina Mountain State Fair is held beginning Friday after Labor Day each year. Staging of Blooms for the first round of the open flower show is on Wednesday with Judging on Thursday; second round staging, the following Tuesday. We encourage members to participate if possible.

Friday September 7 – STAGING until 7 pm.
Local CDS members are requested
